What is brow lift surgery?
Brow lift surgery, also sometimes known as a forehead lift, is a surgical procedure that is used to smooth out the area between your eyebrows and your hairline that is performed by repositioning the soft tissue and skin of the brown and forehead. This form of procedure is designed to freshen the appearance of the forehead and brow to give a more youthful appearance as well as giving a replenished look to the skin around the eyes.
A brow lift surgery is slightly different than other surgeries that can be performed to the face as there are a number of different methods that can be used during the surgery to achieve the desired outcome. It’s possible that the incision can be made in the hairline for the tissue and skin to be shortened which lifts the forehead area and results in the need for the eyebrows to be repositioned, giving a more youthful appearance and hiding any scarring within the hairline. Alternatively, it can also be carried out as keyhole surgery (depending on your needs) where the surgery will be carried out through a number of smaller incisions in the hairline to provide the same outcome.
Although a number of our patients opt for a brow lift purely for aesthetic reasons to give them a more youthful appearance, this form of surgery can also be performed for those who have had their vision affected due to their brow drooping and by using the appropriate method of surgery, it can actually have a significant improvement on a patients lateral vision.
